Cheyne Collier - New Seminarian
Cheyne Collier is a first-year Master of Divinity student seeking to discern his ordination track in the Episcopal Church. Before coming to Candler, Cheyne completed a Master of Theological Studies in Ethics at Lee University where he also served his department as a teaching assistant, lecturer, and mentor in the mentorship program. Cheyne received into the Episcopal Church in 2017 from the Church of God denomination where he previously served in various ministry capacities since 2011 such as youth ministry and advising teams. Since joining the Episcopal Church, he has been in the Youth Adult Ministry, aided in EYC, and a weekly Evening Prayer. Cheyne hopes to build better bridges between the worlds of the church, the community, and the academy through loving dialogue and listening so that Christians in all areas might better serve Christ.
Cheyne loves music, museums, libraries, and finding wonderful places to eat with others. Cheyne lives with his wife Jhenny Collier, an office manager, and Haitian immigrant, in Decatur, Georgia.
