ACOLYTES – ARLINGTON SUCCESS, COORDINATOR

Any baptized persons, fourth grade through adults, are welcome to “suit up” in a special vestment and serve our worship by leading processions, carrying banners, serving at the altar, and also receiving alms and oblations.

ALTAR GUILD – ELIZABETH MILLINGTON, COORDINATOR

Women and men work in teams, serve once a month to prepare the church for all worship services, including weddings and funerals. This quiet work is a critical ministry behind the scenes.

FLOWER GUILD - BOBBIE UNGER, COORDINATOR

The Flower Guild's purpose is to perpetuate this centuries-old tradition bringing God's beauty into our sanctuary each week, especially in the celebration of Easter and Christmas.  Additionally, we encourage our parish family to make personal altar flower dedications in memory, thanksgiving, celebration or other intention as an outward expression of faith.  Our goal is to prepare reasonable arrangements permitting as many as possible to share in these dedications, understanding that flowers are a beautiful gift from God.

Volunteers for this ministry are always welcome.

LECTORS – ELAINE PRIMUS, COORDINATOR

Lectors read the lessons along with Prayers of the People on Sundays and also assist in the administration of Holy Communion.

MUSIC - DAWN-MARIE JAMES, COORDINATOR

We are a singing congregation! Hymns are chosen which honor our faith and family backgrounds—traditional Episcopal, Spirituals, Protestant favorites, Caribbean songs, and ancient chants. During the summer, we sing hymns requested by the congregation.  Our worship is fully Anglican yet never dull!

THE ADULT CHOIR

Open to adults and teens, our choir is full of people who love to make a joyful noise.  We sing at the 10:30 AM Sunday service and on a few other Holy Days. Rehearsals are before Sunday service between 9:30 AM and 10:15 AM and after service on Sundays at 12:00 PM.  As a chorister, you will deepen your understanding of God's gift of music.  Don’t fret if you are not a music reader; rehearsals are teaching sessions, too.  Of course, we also have great fun and warm fellowship. Come sing!

INSTRUMENTALISTS

If you play a musical instrument, let us know. We’d love to hear you!  Musicians offer gifts in ways that expand the richness of the liturgy and season.  Please be in touch to talk further.

To learn more, speak to a choir member after church or contact our Choir Director, Dawn-Marie James.

USHERS – JIM UNGER, COORDINATOR

Volunteers serve during Sunday morning services and on other special occasions to help worshipers by locating seats, passing out bulletins, collecting and presenting the contributions, and directing or assisting those who wish to receive communion. Contact Jim Unger if you would like to join this important ministry
